Your Requests – This new album consists of requests that Laila Biali has received from friends and fans in the past decade. This is volume 1 and it’s a wonderful collection of familiar tunes that will bring great pleasure and good memories to the listener. You can expect a high quality recording with very fine musical arrangements, an excellent balance of instrument and voice.
Familiar tunes include Bye-bye Blackbird, Pennies from Heaven, My Favourite Things, Autumn Leaves and The Nearness of You. Laila’s wonderfully expressive voice provides her own unique version of these well known songs accompanied by a fine roster of instrumentalists and some seasoned guest vocalists. Available on Spotify or if you are old-fashioned like me you can get a CD. It’s a great album and I predict that once you have it you will listen to it often.
